Style(s) of yoga: All of our teachers have at least 15 years of experience with yoga. While all styles of yoga are “hatha”, each teacher brings a different mix of their training and experience. All classes teach a balance of postures and breath work. While all are “therapeutic” in that they will help you heal, they are at different paces.
We encourage you to try as many of our classes as possible, so you can experience the different teachers and what each can bring to your learning and healing. All teachers also offer private and semi-private instruction. Please call for rates. |

Changes to Yoga Program as of September 2011
Since beginning the yoga program in 1998, Yoga has continued to evolve. The following changes will enable us to move the program in the direction most compatible with our student’s needs, and the mission of the Center for Optimal Health, including use of the state-of-the-art Studio. Beginning 9/12/2011, the following changes will occur: 1. Michelle’s Monday class will move to a new location and will be managed by Michelle—please contact Michelle at 609-413-6656. 2. Monday evening yoga will consolidate one class at COH, at the mixed beginner level, at 6:15 pm every week EXCEPT the 2nd Monday of each month (beginning September 12) to enable students coming from a distance and for Dr. Cheikin to resume his monthly lecture series which has been on hiatus for a number of years. (click here for pending topics for the lecture series). 3. Dr. Cheikin's lecture series will resume beginning the 2nd Monday in October (10/10); please check the website for the pending topics or call the Center. 4. Each of Dr. Cheikin's Monday yoga classes will include a "mini-lecture" reviewing important health topics. 5. Prices for yoga classes will be reduced effective September 2011; the fee schedule will be available soon, and will apply to all new registrations beginning August 2011. 6. We will be scheduling Therapeutic Yoga Workshops, time and topics pending. (click here for pending topics for the workshop series) |
